I have a beautiful, registered, bay gelding who is the light of my life. Unfortunatly between school and trying to train my filly, I have no time to work over his problems.
He was abused before coming to live with me and so is slightly headshy, and is scared of men who look like "cowboys" and ropes. (Escpecially lassos) He also has an old barb-wire injury, so I don't think he'd stay sound as a jumper or speed event horse.
Now he is much more relaxed and happy, and I've just begun to saddle him up. He was green broke when I got him, but wasn't ridden since then. I tried to get on him twice and he bolted out of fear, and I came off.
He needs a very experienced rider, but isn't mean or spooky at all. He's had trees felled around him with out batting an eye, not scared of dogs. But he's very high energy in new situations, he looks and listens to everything.
I want him to go to a great home where he can be used, and have a great long life.
