Tango is one amazing horse! She is 15.1hh, dark bay with a blaze, strip, and snip. Despite being a smaller horse, she can carry a lot and doesn't get tired! I am a bigger rider, and she carries me with no problem. When she was 3 I rode her on a 2-2 1/2 hour trail ride, and she was still willing to go farther.
Tango has been ridden through everything, and NOTHING scares her. She has been up to knee deep in water, through woods, down trails, in fields, down paved/dirt roads, with chickens, with ducks, with dogs, with cats, and she does great with or without other horses. When she is with them she tends to want to lead the other horses.
Tango was shown walk/trot class, showmanship, halter, and lungeline. Raincoats don't bother her, and we can drape a tarp over her and she's fine. She has had slinky tops and blankets on her, and nothing bothers her. She clips great, bathes great, and her loading is amazing! Just put the rope over her neck, point her to the trailer and she'll load herself. She is fine in the trailer as well.
She needs work on her jog, but she has the potential to do very well in western pleasure. Her extended trot is amazing, it looks like she glides over the ground. She has done the piaffe, where she trots in place, but she is not trained to do it on cue. She has jumped up to 3 feet, but not with a rider on her yet. I'm sure she'd do great in that area as well. Her canter is like a rocking horse, it is the smoothest ever!
She has speed when asked, but she is not trained to run under saddle yet. I am positive if you train her to she'll learn it very quickly. I have seen her run without the saddle, and WOW is she fast. And she can turn on a dime. She has great speed control.
The only reason I am selling Tango is because I am a very timid rider. I'm afraid of having to make a horse mind in the saddle, and Tango can test people sometimes. Her idea of testing people is sidepassing towards the gate when she wants out. My friend who has ridden her and my trainers just give her a little kick and nudge, and make her go back where they want her to and she's fine for them. I'm very afraid to make the horse mind in the saddle, so I need a really lazy horse. Tango is wanting to go places and do everything, and I just want to putz around at a walk/trot. She is truly an amazing horse and very smart, she'd be great for an intermediate rider on up. She just needs some fine tuning, and she'll be great!!!
