9/13 Tara is riding wonderfully, he went on a long trail ride though the MO national state park on private and state trails. With 3 other riders and himself it was the first official outing and we have to say he is ready to ride. He was perfect, not a spook, not a bawk, he went up steep hills with small narrow trails, through trees, forests, across creeks and streams, no one could believe it was his 4th big ride. He is a natural , some were gaited horses and he kept right up with them. He would make anyone who loves to ride an exceptional trail mount or anything he would be trained for. he is a fast learner and wonderfully calm about the whole deal. He opens his mouth for the bit, he takes the saddle and bridle well he is wonderful to bathe and ties perfect. He loaded as if he had done it 1000 times. He gets along with other horses , he is an Ulrich bred through and through.

9/7/ Tara and Rocky went for a long trail ride today, he was a perfect gentleman. On the roads the cars went by him he didn't even flinch, he went up steep hills and down again , through a few large creeks, he was a perfect riding horse. If you did not know better you would think he has been riding for a year or more. We have not found anything so far that he is afraid of, if he sees something he has never seen before, mail boxes or colored road signs, he goes right up and smells everything. He even rode past his pasture mates and gave no thoughts to them at any time coming or going away from them. It appears he has a true love for riding.

updated - 9/3/08 He was on his first trail ride yesterday and did fantastic, nothing seems to spook him. He rode with rocky and they did great, walked over by dogs, other horses and in creeks. This horse is typical of the wonderful stable mind the Ulrich horses are known for. The best riding best acting and easiest keeping horses of most foundation programs. He is just 3 years old. he has a whole life of riding ahead of him and this is a wonderful start. No Buck, no rear not one bad behavior during and since his first day under saddle. He turns right, left and stops, he is learning to back

Ulrich bred foundation Appaloosa Gelding. His Dam is full Ulrich bred and Sire is Solar Flair and Money Creek , Joker B and more, He is bred to be a wonderful Friend for life, 100% foundation gelded at 18months, he gets along with everyone including mares and stallions, he is not aggressive and listens to commands, he is just finishing the level one of natural horse training using the round pen training and doing very well, he submits and waits for his next cue, he saddles and bridles well, bathes and ties, he has been trimmed professionally and will have shoes on this week due to rocky terrain. He would make a wonderful western trail mount or English pleasure. he is gorgeous. we have a ton of photos on our website we just took of this beautiful boy. Registered ApHC. He is now almost 15'2, he will be a good 15'2h or 15'3h at full growth.
