Chief is a great little grade gelding standing about 13.3-14 hands. he has lots of personality and loves attention and doating... sometimes too much. My 12 year old daughter has been doing local playdays on him. He is patterned on them, some more that others. He is not totally automatic but definately knows them. He really seems to enjoy flags and pylons and is really beginning to get the hang of poles. He has great bend and flex and is getting faster each playday. His previous owner did goat tying on him, so when you are running him and throw you leg over to dismount he stops and will follow you.
Now, the jumping. We are western here, but this little guys loves it and I feel has done it before. (see the video) He perks his ears up as he's going into the jump and really pays attention. His heart seems to be in jumping more than other things.
He is also great on trails. Will go over, through or in anything. My kids have even swam him. He is a fast little walker and keeps up with all the big horses no problem. Nothing has ever spooked him or bothered him. He load in the trailer well and loves baths and his mane and tail braided. He is not bothered by 4wheelers, dogs, kids ect.
Now for his issues. He is NOT for a total beginner, not because he is mean or will hurt someone(see the other video), but he will take advantage of someone that is too timid. I think he has just enough pony in him that he will sometimes be hardheaded. He also seems to have the tendency to buddy up with the other horses in the pasture. When he is left at the trailer by himself he calls for them and moves around more than I like, but still never kicks or sets back or things like that.

Please feel free to call or email and I will answer any questions as truthful as possible as to not waste anyone's time (or gas). 940-241-1399
