58+ desert bred Arabians, most are brood mares requiring little management, except pasture feeding. 14 head stallion barn and pens. Stall and barn cleaning, feeding, exercising, training, showing to sell. Watch the fences to see if they need repairing to keep horses in. Move feed around between 2 barns every two weeks. Lots of work, but very able to manage easily in 7 hours a day. Currently a one person operation. Room and board, small salary plus commissions on horses that you have worked with that sell. Will consider boarding 1 to 2 horses as part of pay. $175/week, small travel trailer with utilities. 6 days a week, appx 7.5 hrs/day. Experienced with horses. Must be able to work multiple horses in a day, between morning and evening feedings. Must know how to break and start young and older horses!! Must know how to handle stallions, foals, broodmares. How to clean their feet, groom etc. Only interested and capable persons need answer. I do NOT have the time to play games with you. If you want to work and want to be around horses and want to help make my breeding program a success, email me. If not, don't waste my time or yours. If you are looking for a pretty place then you do not want this job! We are a rural, country place, no real facilities yet – just 3 old barns redone to stall some horses, pastures previously set up for cows, fences that constantly need attended to, and when it is wet LOTS OF MUD!
