WANTED: 14 TO 14.2 MARE for pleasure riding, and possibly a little gaming. Must be sound and no kick/ or bite. I would like to find a 5. 1 being to much speed and 10 being retired. I raise APHA horses, and my mares are getting up in age, along with me, or I didn't finish them when I should have. My Stallion is 16.2 and produces big colts, with personality plus. I have 5 foals on the ground, but I am getting to the age that I want a short, stocky, universal mare, for pleasure. I have owned my mares, some since birth. I do not wheel and deal-homes are more important than price and once you hear their bloodlines, you'll know I am not a horse trader-I love my animals and they get the best of care. We also raise our own grass/alfalfa hay so they are fed well, and have plenty of area to run, and just enjoy themselves.
