Two wonderful geldings that have been teaching for close to 15 years in a natural horsemanship environment. "Cody" now 20 years old is a Buckskin Quarter Horse with a gentle disposition. He is built so that students can learn to ride bare back comfortably. About 15.1 hands. Very easy keeper. You would never know that he is 20. "Cheyenne" is a tri-color paint, quarter horse mix. He stands about 14.1 and is great with everyone. Children can climb all over, under and around him, he don't care. Without knowing his birthdate we have had vets try and help us guess his age. We just say he is 20 plus. Both these geldings respond very well to leg cues and have been ridden with a rope halter and 13 foot lead all of their teaching career. When taken out on trails they have gone with a halter or a bridle with a snaffle bit. They stop when you sit down and stop riding. Very seldom do you have to use the rein to stop them. Both these geldings have also been ridden bridle-less by their owner and some students as well.
